Samizdat Zine Issue 2 – March 2009 Adelaide, Australia samizdat.zine@hotmail.com Samizdat (Russian: Ñамиздат) was the name given to the process and products of underground writing, publishing and reproduction of suppressed and illegal material in the Soviet Union. Samizdat was used to print liberal and sometimes very dangerous views and if caught the publishers were often sentenced to lengthy prison terms.
